I continue to fear that Gabrielle will eventually get bored with being happy. Thankfully it has yet to happen.
Her most recent accomplishment is learning to use a spoon. We put before her a bowl of cereal and, working in slow motion, she’ll scoop out a flake or two. She cautiously brings it to her mouth, letting drop a bit of milk. Once to her lips she turns the spoon sideways to dump out its contents. Often she has to bring up a hand to make sure everything stays in her mouth. She then repeats. Once finished, she does a “where’d the food go? I dunno?” shoulder shrug mom taught her.
Cause she is of course, darn it, momma’s girl.
